Are you an active duty, reserve, or veteran seeking a military-friendly business degree with your GI Bill benefits? Consider Hawaii Pacific University, a university located in a worldly location on the shores of the United States and over a dozen other countries.

Hawaii Pacific University's military-friendly business degrees are available online or on campus, so that active duty can attend school while deployed or veterans can attend school in the classroom (or vica versa, if able!); and these programs are quality, accredited education both ways, meaning that students can alternate between an online education, a campus education, or an education at a completely different university if they so choose.

Interested in the exciting world of professional business, but don't want to go to school for four years? Always wanted to attend college, but not able to fit it in your current schedule?

Online degree programs offer flexibility, customization, and--most importantly--are considered of equal or greater educational value than campus-based programs (statistic taken from 2009 USDE study.) They are attractive to military students that are currently on deployment or on-call; and to students that travel frequently.

Associate Degree programs, or two-year programs, are attractive for their brevity and focus on one topic. They offer introductory academic certification for a professional setting and may later act as the foundation for a Bachelor Degree.

Combine an Associate Degree program with a rewarding, accredited online degree program, and you have the Associate Degree of Business Administration at American Sentinel University.

What's the difference between business schools and universities?

Business schools offer strictly business degree programs, in the form of BBAs (Bachelor of Business Administration) and MBAs (Master of Business Administration.) They sometimes requre the GMAT to apply.

Universities offer a wide variety of programs, from business degrees to criminal justice degrees to social work degrees. Universities sometimes require the SAT as part of the application process. Undergraduate programs are known as BAs (Bachelor of Arts) or BSs (Bachelor of Science), while master degrees are known as MAs (Master of Arts), MSs (Master of Science), or MBAs (Master of Business Administrations).

This list, unfortunately, does not include online schools. While these schools have online class potential, a full-scale online degree program is better obtained through universities that have designed degree programs with the distance learner in mind.

One of the most prestigious online schools for business degrees like Business Administration and Criminal Justice is Saint Leo University. While Saint Leo University might not have been featured on the Top 10 Business Schools for Hispanic Students from Hispanic Business, it was featured on the Top 100 Degrees for Minorities at Diverse Issues in Higher Education, and the Top 100 Degrees for African-Americans. Saint Leo University's student body is diverse and spread across both the Center for Online Learning--their distance learning programs--and traditional, campus-based programs that have been succeeding for ages.

Business students especially benefit from a "Melting Pot" college, with exposure to all kinds of ethnicities and cultures enhancing their understanding of business relations in a diverse world in the future.

Diverse Issues in Higher Education put together a Top 100 Degree Producers in 2007 list for both Minorities and African-Americans. The colleges listed are from all over the United States and all of them excel in minority and African-American enrollment. This diversity does not lean towards on cultural direction, but instead shows diversity for all cultures. One of the colleges that showed up consistently in both lists is Saint Leo University, which happens to not only be friendly to minorities, but is also a military-friendly school.
